CORONAVIRUS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS
Fifth Grade Drama Productions
The American Revolution is a component of the 5th grade social studies curriculum which focuses on American History. Students are immersed in the time period through historical fiction, text reading, research, writing and drama productions.
On January 29th, Mrs. Tatulis’ class performed two plays centered around the events of the Revolution. Naughty Susan related the tale of a young girl in Philadelphia who wants to help ring the Liberty Bell to announce the reading of the Declaration of Independence.. The second play, The Beat of Two Dummers introduces you to a patriotic family living in British held New York.. They are trying to help George Washington and some officers escape capture by British regulars who are searching for them. Every student in the class participated in the performance that took place for the fourth grade during the school day and for parents in the evening.
