The Environmental Magnet took advantage of the winter weather this past week to get outside and enjoy nature. We spent our Magnet time snowshoeing around the DCS property. While the conditions were a little bit on the icy side, the temperature and sunshine made it worthwhile. To the surprise of Ms. Hughes and Mr. Grieve, only about half the students had been snowshoeing before. This, however, did not slow the students down, as once they got the hang of it, they really enjoyed their time out in the woods. It is the hope of the Magnet, to get out one or two more times before spring comes. Once the snow melts and the ice thaws, the Magnet will be taking advantage of the DCS property to hike and canoe on the lake.
